Oh, Joshua tree how you have my heart and soul! There is something to be said about the desert and the creatures that roam the dry, arid landscape. Like something out of an alien like landscape the desert is a mysterious place of life in the extreme. Millions of people flood the Joshua Tree Valley yearlong for the magical and mystical adventure that awaits within this flourishing desert community. I was hired for this job for a commercial shoot to promote an amazing wedding venue just outside of Joshua Tree National Park.
Tumbleweed Sanctuary is a beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces that duplicate being inside Joshua Tree State Park. They have amazing décor and designed pieces throughout the property which are so helpful when you’re shooting in a barren desert to help as visual aids and props during a wedding. They even have a labyrinth you can get married in! As a photographer who shoots in barren deserts multiple times a month, I appreciate having these pieces to use as I find it often difficult at times to pose and direct my clients like I normally would with a very limited and empty space. Especially when we are limited to standing shots only as we try to not destroy a beautiful wedding dress with dry desert dust and dirt. So, if you’re looking for a great wedding venue in the Joshua tree area, I highly suggest checking out Tumbleweed Sanctuary.
